Rainbow Roof Gallery Vision

Canada Non-Profit ORGANISATION
We will make our art community with you.

Rainbow roof gallery aims to provide vitality to seniors and service workers who had few opportunities for various community activities through meeting new communities and learning through healing art programs. we would also like to invite great unknown professional artists living in Oakville to create an opportunity to learn good art programs from our neighbors and act as a bridge between Oakville artists and our neighbors. in addition, we are striving to revitalize the community by creating various events through senior art programs and youth art competitions. if there are famous artists and works, i think other communities will be able to visit Oakville a lot, further boosting the business of small business owners in the community. a small positive impact will make our community a warmer society.

 “Canada-Korea Together” show’s accomplishments

"Canada - Korea , Together - Peace of Prosperity Show" likely refers to an exhibition or event that celebrates the collaboration and prosperity between Canada and Korea . This show may feature artistic expressions, cultural displays, or collaborative projects that highlight the strong relationship between the two countries. It aims to showcase the unity, mutual understanding, and shared prosperity resulting from their partnership. The event likely serves as a platform for cultural exchange, fostering connections and promoting the ongoing positive relationship between Canada and Korea. Most cultural exchange exhibitions between Canada and Korea are held in major cities such as Toronto and Vancouver. However, this year's exhibition will take place in Oakville, making it easily accessible for Korean immigrants and local residents in western Ontario. Korean Consul General Duk Hwan Kim, who visited the 'Together' exhibition last year, expressed pride in this development. The exhibition aims to foster mutual understanding and cultural exploration among residents of these smaller towns. During the "Together" exhibition, we plan to facilitate the creation of collaborative artworks through professional art workshops involving Canadian and Korean artists. This initiative aims to showcase the results of these collaborative efforts in cultural spaces, providing a platform to exhibit the shared cultural experiences. The workshops will not only contribute to the cultural enrichment of the community but also serve as a time to demonstrate the robust relationship between the two countries.

The "Canada-Korea Together" show, celebrating the 60th anniversary of Canada-South Korea diplomatic relations, has achieved notable accomplishments in both 2023 and 2024. Held initially in May 2023 at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre (QEPCCC) in Oakville, this exhibition brought together Korean and Canadian artists to celebrate cultural ties and foster mutual understanding. The show highlighted the artistic diversity within Canada’s Korean community, offering a space where traditional and contemporary works converged to illustrate shared values and distinct identities. Through paintings, installations, and multimedia art, artists reflected on themes of heritage, migration, and identity, bridging cultural divides through their creative visions.

In 2024, the success of the event led to additional exhibits and collaborative opportunities, reinforcing its role in deepening Canada-Korea relations through the arts. These follow-up events expanded public engagement, attracting a wider audience and fostering cross-cultural dialogue beyond the art community. Notably, the show inspired discussions and partnerships with local cultural organizations, aiming to continue showcasing Korean-Canadian art in future exhibitions. Overall, the "Canada-Korea Together" show has been a significant cultural milestone, strengthening Canada-Korea ties, amplifying Korean-Canadian voices, and promoting inclusivity and diversity through art.
