Tracy Thomson
Short biography
Tracy Thomson, AOCA, CSPWC, is a Toronto artist, who studied Fine Art, then switched to Experimental Art in her last year of study at OCA, in order to, “explore, what was in the abstract empty space surrounding the figure, minus the figure”. The Stewart building (which housed the Experimental Art Department) provided large studios in which to do so. Tracy currently works out of her studio situated on the shores of Lake Ontario, which she finds constantly inspiring as well as treacherous, in its immense power and ever- changing moods. She considers herself a “Biomorphic Expressionist” with Environmental leanings. Though she loves nature and has a long family art historical attachment to the landscape, she strongly claims she is NOT a landscape painter. “I don’t have an interest in painting what’s in front of me, as it already exists in a pure poetic form which I cannot improve upon. I do, however, LOVE to explore the mysteries of what doesn’t yet exist but what I imagine MAY exist in future. Susan Ruptash
Short biography
Susan Ruptash is a Toronto washi artist who works in a variety of paper arts including explorations of handmade heritage washi, printmaking and bookmaking, building on a lifelong fascination with the properties and possibilities of paper. Susan’s career as an architect has informed her explorations of structure, form, materiality and process. Susan is a member of Open Studio, focussing on intaglio printmaking, as well as a member of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild. Susan’s work often includes embedded efforts that may not be readily apparent on viewing, but contribute to the finished piece through a curiosity and respect for the materials. For this reason, many of her works appear minimalist at first glance.
Nikola Wojewoda
Short biography
Nikola Wojewoda is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Hamilton Ontario. A graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, she works in a variety of mediums, showing in both group and solo exhibitions. In addition to drawing, painting and printmaking, she makes sculptures in clay, bronze, stone, plaster, mixed media assemblage, and installation. She’s made experimental short films shown in North America and Europe and has designed sets for dance and theatre in Toronto and Hamilton. Her work can be found in private and corporate collections, including the Canada Council Art Bank. Reviewed in a variety of publications, including C Magazine and the Globe and Mail, her work is included in several books on art. She’s taught painting and sculpture with Toronto Board’s Continuing Education, and currently ceramics for the Art Gallery of Burlington and various local Guilds. She has been invited to contribute as a juror for public projects, and has served on the executive of several Guilds. The recipient of Ontario Arts Council Grants, she has received local awards for her sculpture, ceramics, and fine art. Nikola is a member of the Art Galleries of Burlington and Hamilton, the Hamilton Region Potters Guild, Fusion Clay and Glass Association, and the Hamilton Artists Inc.

Shelley Prior
Short biography
I am a full-time Burlington artist and art instructor. My watercolour painting style has evolved into a highly realistic style covering a variety of subjects which may include birds & wildlife, nature, portraits, floral, still life & landscape. Subjects with reflective qualities like glass and metal are especially intriguing to me. I’m a very active instructor teaching regular classes and teaching throughout North America, which I’ve done for about 30 years. I have many online lessons as well, including a weekly live demonstration Wednesday mornings. Although I paint in acrylic and oil as well, my main medium is watercolour.

Joseph Muscat
Short biography
Joseph Muscat graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1981, and since then has exhibited his work extensively in solo and in group exhibitions in Canada, USA, Europe and South America. His work is widely collected in many Public, Corporate and Private collections. He has received grants from the Ontario Arts Council and the Canada Council and his work has been included in art textbooks and reproduced on book and magazine covers. He has lectured at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture and has taught Visual Arts part-time with the Toronto District School Board. He presently mentors graduating students from Guelph-Humber University through their internship program. Joseph Muscat is a member of several Professional Artists Associations. He was Chair of Propeller Gallery, Toronto between 2010 and 2015, a founding member of Le Labo d'art and a past board director of the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair and BRAV Oart. He has sat on a number of arts' juries locally and nationally and is a member of Padejo, a three-artist working collective. Mr. Muscat is represented by David Kaye Gallery, Toronto, Danielle Wohl Fine Arts, Palo Alto, California, Guildworks in Bloomfield Ontario and MIZ Gallery in Seoul, South Korea.
Victoria Pearce
Short biography
Victoria is a professional artist with an honours BFA from York University and an OSA member. She exhibits her work extensively throughout Ontario and has work in collections in a university, bank and private homes across Canada and United States.She is an avid hiker and an enthusiastic Bruce Trail Conservancy member as well as a past program director for Burlington Fine Arts for twenty years.
Victoria paints and teaches from her Hamilton studio and at a family camp in northern Ontario each summer. She travels the the length of the Bruce trail as well as the lakes and trails of Algonquin, Haliburton , Kawartha and Madawaska, gathering inspiration for her unique landscapes.The many waterfalls, grand pine forests, silhouetted islands, and voluminous skies are her inspiration. Her belief in the interconnectivity of all nature led to the unique labyrinth style she now uses to illustrate the constant movement in everything from a waterfall, to a wall of granite.
Victoria lives in Hamilton and cottages in Haliburton on the edge on Algonquin Park.

Sungmi Kong
Short biography
Sungmi Kong, Korean artist and owner of Rainbow Studio in Oakville since 2018, has had a great impact on the local community through her many art activities.
She is best known for her unique Korean traditional folk-art paintings, which have often been exhibited throughout the Greater Toronto Area for the past few years and getting well recognized.
In 2022 she was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Her desire to support, share and show diverse artistic practices brings us together. Her goal is to create new relationships and exhibit an enjoyable and engaging experience that will enrich the entire community. She is looking forward to discovering the threads that connect us all!

Hee Jung Shin
Short biography
Heejung Shin is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Korea, working primarily in installation, drawing and painting. Her work explores identity, the fragility of the human body, and the law of impermanence. Especially the concept of losing language culture, identity and self as a result of cultural and social displacement. Heejung is exploring various mediums and mainly she creates works with Han-Ji (Mulberry papers from Korea) exploring collage, layer, and installation.
Heejung graduated from the University of Waterloo majoring Honours Fine Arts Studio Practice, Intensive Studio Specialization. She received numerous awards for her outstanding work including Printing Special Award, Helen L. Cross Memorial Scholarship and Vern Hacking Award in Fine Arts from the University of Waterloo. Heejung was part of the Gang-Won Contemporary Art Group Exhibition at Gangneung Museum of Art in Korea. Most recently her installation work was selected for Nuit Blanche Winnipeg.
Irene YK Cha
Short biography
Irene YK Cha, a native of Korea, was born and raised in Seoul. She pursued her passion for art from a young age, graduating from Seoul Arts High School before earning both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Ewha Womans University. Her journey in the art world led her to diverse roles, as an instructor at the Air Force Academy and contributing as an art columnist for We Magazine. In Toronto, she established Cha Art Space which offers portfolio preparation for students and fine art classes for adults. She also served as president of the Korean Canadian Art Association( KASC). With over 30 years of experience as a Fine Artist, She has been actively involved in artistic endeavours spanning the USA, Korea, and Canada. Genie Kim
Short biography
Genie Kim, an accomplished artist with a BFA from Hongik University School of Fine Arts in Seoul, South Korea, has distinguished herself in the art world with her unique approach to painting and ceramics. Kyungsun Kim
Short biography
Kyungsun Kim is a printmaker. Born and raised in South Korea, she initially majored in oil painting in Korea, but was drawn to the allure of printmaking. She deepened her expertise in Japanese woodblock printing through the master at Tama Art University. She expresses the energy of nature through woodblock in rhythmic patterns on japanese washi using watercolor. Currently based in Canada, she explores various materials of artwork beyond woodblock prints in her work.

Che Ree Kwon
Short biography
Che Ree Kwon is a visual artist, currently based in Toronto, Canada. She was born and raised in South Korea where she studied Fine Art for her master's degree. She works in various mediums from acrylic to digital art and continues to explore new art forms. Most of her hand-painted artworks are acrylic colours and mixed media on canvas and paper. Her work has been exhibited throughout Canada and South Korea and she is currently working on a series of paintings for the upcoming exhibition.
